  1. Great low light shot–I like the balance here.

Thanks, this is one of my personal favorites and is currently my wallpaper. It was getting fairly dim by the time I took this picture. It’s handheld and it’s ISO 2000. Something that would not have been possible with the old camera without a tripod. I typically didn’t take pictures above ISO 800 on the D40. I can take usable pictures up to ISO 6400 on the D7000. So, definitely loving that added flexibility.

  2. De très belles teintes et une jolie profondeur de champ. Superbe!

Incredible lighting, i’m a fan. Love the perspective too. Thanks for your visits & have a sweet 2°11. Happy with the D7000 ? I have a D90 i enjoy a lot, the D7000 is very hard to get in France. I’ll wait for a D800 maybe with your amount of pixels. Enjoy your new one. I know many people who had the D40, a very good one.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! You have some great work on your site! Happy 2011 to you too! I’m really happy with the D7000. I have to admit that the D40 was so good to me I was slightly concerned with moving on to the D7000 but I’ve been very happy with the higher resolution and incredible low light performance of the D7000, my two main reasons for upgrading. Can easily get good usable shots with 6400 ISO. Thanks again.

always partial to a lighthouse…especially when the light, colour and composition is as good as this!

Thanks so much Ted! I really do like the color and quality of light reflecting off the water, particularly the lower right portion.
